Level Snowboard Gloves with Wrist Guards - are all BioMex guards the same?

LEVEL's industry leading line of snowboard gloves with wrist guards all feature the proven BioMex wrist protection system integrated into the inside of the gloves. But not all of the BioMex guards are exactly the same across all Level gloves. We'll explain the differences...

What is the BioMex Wrist Guard inside LEVEL Snowboard Gloves?

If you aren't familiar with the BioMex guards that are built into the LEVEL snowboard gloves with wrist guards, then check out our in-depth explanation of BioMex wrist guards here. What are the different BioMex versions inside LEVEL snowboard gloves?

There are four different versions of the BioMex wrist guards, each with a specific purpose:

  1. BioMex - the standard version that is inside the LEVEL Fly Gloves, Fly Mittens, Fly Trigger, and Super Carve. This version was the original and continues to provide excellent and proven wrist protection for thousands of snowboarders.LEVEL BioMex Wrist Guard - cutaway view
  2. BioMex Plus - the improved version includes additional padding on the palm side of the guard, to enhance impact protection and improve comfort. It's a nice upgrade that appears in all of the Half Pipe series of gloves and mittens, as well as the Super Pipes. LEVEL BioMex Plus Wrist Guard - cutaway view
  3. Women's BioMex - in the women's snowboard gloves models - the LEVEL Butterfly Gloves and Mittens, and the Women's Half Pipe Gloves and Mittens, the BioMex guard is slightly smaller and is designed to flex more readily. This is engineered to optimize wrist protection for the typically smaller hands and lighter weight of female snowboarders.  LEVEL BioMex Wrist Guard Women's Version - cutaway view
